Novice Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

February 26th, 2016 at 21:21

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the west in a fantastic game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the house, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to fret about any other, more knowledgeable players taking their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick choices.

It’s also easier to play for a very long time with just a small bit of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands has to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier is given 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
