Internet poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the initial bet. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out cash even with your wager and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
