Web poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players receive five cards. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus a figure on par with the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pays out chips equal to your initial bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
