Poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out money equal to your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
